libgdcm2.4 software package provides Grassroots DICOM runtime libraries, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgdcm2.4
libgdcm2.4 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgdcm2.4 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgdcm2.4 *
You will get with libgdcm2.4 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
